Medical Social Services
The goal of the Medical Social Worker’s within ASAP Services is to restore balance in a patient’s personal, family and social life, in order to help that patient maintain or recover their health and strengthen their ability to adapt and reintegrate into society.
Our medical social workers complete these goals by facilitating interventions which may include connecting patients and families to necessary resources and supports in their District of Columbia communities;
- Providing Psychotherapy
- Supportive Counseling
- Grief Counseling
- Helping a patient to expand and strengthen their network of social supports.
Companion/Homemaker
At ASAP Services our Companion/Homemaker’s perform general household related services. Our companion/homemakers DO NOT provide any hands-on personal or health related care.
Allowable services include:
- Grocery Shopping
- Meal Preparation
- Limited General Housecleaning
- Running Necessary Errands
- Providing Escort Services for Medical Appointments (NOT TRANSPORTATION)
